Jean-Pierre BOSELLI, a woordturner of art !
The Olive tree, legendary tree, symbol of the Mediterranean, conquered Jean-Pierre from his early age. At 7 years old, when his grandfather pruned his olive trees, he picked up the branches and carved them with a knife. He was fascinated by its tortured forms, its veining and its odor. His job was cabinetmaker. In 1972, he abandons the furniture to dedicate himself to the sculpture of olive wood. Two years later, he opened the shop in Valbonne, near Grasse, with the evocative name 'l'Olivieroi' where Gabrielle will welcome you with a smile, to present you the fabulous creations of her husband.
These perfume bottles, hand-crafted and hand-carved by Jean-Pierre, know a brilliant success and make him travel to the four corners of the world, to give him his world-wide reputation. Turning, sculpture, marquetry ... It is this savoir-faire that undoubtedly made the success of the craftsman. Every day, in his workshop, Jean-Pierre plays with the wood and gives free rein to his imagination to produce his unique bottles that allows him to unite all the facets of the work and wood.
Rosewood of Madagascar, Amaranth of Guyana, Ebony of Africa, Snakewood of Amazonia ..., he uses the most precious woods without forgetting the woods of the fruit trees and olive trees of his Mediterranean region. These extraordinary unique bottles, cut from the block, sculpted and shaped by hand, hide a glass reservoir. in which you have to pour the perfume of your choice. The perfume is preserved of the heat, humidity and light. To facilitate filling, Jean-Pierre offers you a small funnel, made of wood turned by hand with each bottle.
